Traditional Split Systems

Split systems have an air conditioner, which cools your home using a refrigerant, a gas furnace, a fan, or evaporator to convert and circulate air, air ducts, and a thermostat. It is the most common type of system to have. Whether your home is large or small, a split system is an easy way to maintain air temperature and stay comfortable.

Hybrid Systems

Split hybrid HVAC systems are becoming more popular in recent years among homeowners. These systems are like the traditional split systems,  but with one key difference. The hybrid system gives homeowners the option to switch their heat pump to electric rather than using gas. This system includes a heat pump to help heat and cool the refrigerant as needed, a furnace, evaporator coil, air ducts, and thermostat. Hybrid HVACs may be able to save you money and energy with the option to switch fueling sources.

Duct-free Systems/Mini-Split Systems

As the name would denote, this type of system doesn’t require ducts. In homes where installing ducts isn’t an option, these systems can be installed to ensure that your desired temperature is still possible. Ductless systems can vary in size. As with other systems, they contain a heat pump, fan coil, and a thermostat. They also utilize wires and tubing to connect the refrigerant to the outdoor unit.

Packaged Heating and Air Systems

A packaged system is best when a home does not have the space for all the components of a spit system. These units contain all the same features as the other systems but in one appliance. A packaged system contains an air conditioner/heat pump combination, evaporator, and fan coil, along with a thermostat.

With every system, there are pros and cons. We will gladly consult with you and help you determine which system makes the most sense for your needs and your homes size and layout.
